The Axes of Change is used in the coaching session. It is based on how people think-feel as they go through the process of change, which from the beginning urges through the pulls and pushes, through the probing of current reality, the awakening to a new vision, to experiencing enough motivational readiness within to make it happen, to planning and designing the change, to actualising it in behaviours, and tasking it in the real world.

The Axes of Change Model is based on the latest research in the cognitive-behavioural sciences from Gregory Bateson’s work with MRI (Mental Research Institute) about the levels of change, Michael Hall’s Meta-States and the Matrix Models, and Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. 

Building a Coaching Culture

The most recent trend now in leadership is incorporating coaching as part of its key competencies. We adopt an approach by focusing on the outcome when begin our coaching engagement with our clients. Initial contracting conversations seek to align the sponsor(s), line manager(s), and the coachee(s) around, purpose and intended outcomes, which helps to create the framework for coaching to be effective within, but also create the enablers for measuring impact and return on investment later.
